Tyson and spent most of Friday dealing with my car. We are FINALLY getting my car fixed. We've been storing it at my mother-in-law's and we can now get it fixed. While it was being stored the battery died and one of the tires went flat. So first we had to get the battery charged but it was totally dead. So we went to buy a new battery and the moron sold us one too big for the car. So we had to take it back and get a new one at a different place.
After that we were finally able to drop it off at the auto body shop. We will FINALLY have two working cars again. FINALLY! We've been paying for my car since November when the registration expired and trying to figure out how/when to fix it. We've had to have our insurance company re-open our claim FOUR times. FOUR! Every time we thought we were going to be able to fix it something more pressing came up and the car got pushed to the way side. So finally it is being fixed. We are at the point of no return now. The car is at the shop and our insurance company told us this was the LAST time they were going to open the claim. So fix it we must!
I made Tyson take a Family 4th picture in matching shirts. :) Tyson said I could photoshop Brad Pitt's face over his, but I decided not to.
After dealing with all that we went to fun party/concert down in Payson. My friend Angela's husband and his friends have been doing Patio of Fire for years.
It was a fun night hanging out and listening to music! We even had a firework show! Tys didn't take any pictures because he was watching them with Scarlett. She was a little freaked out by them, but I think she enjoyed them.
Saturday we were supposed to meet with Tyson's family to watch the parade in Provo, but we overslept. Oops! We had to leave by 7am and since we didn't get home until midnight, yeah, you can figure out why we didn't make it. We made it down for lunch though!
Bryant had some poppers and Scarlett and Will thought they were great! Especially when Tyson got one to pop on his head!
We became THOSE parents and got a leash for Scarlett.
While playing Scarlett found Will's shoes and wanted to wear them around. They were way too big for her but she loved them. It was so cute!
After a great lunch with lots of food and fun we took off to go to Stadium of Fire!
Scarlett loved eating my hot dog bun with ketchup on it. She LOVED it! Weird eater.
Neither Tyson or I had been to Stadium of Fire so we didn't really know what to expect. We had a GREAT time!
Glenn Beck was the host.
Bringing out the flag.
Apaches. (We missed taking pictures of the fly over from Hill, but we did get to see them.) These flew in right behind our seats.
SheDaisy opened the show. I had never seen them before and, frankly, I didn't want to. They did a free show in Arizona a few years ago for the 4th and the clips thy played on the radio were HORRIBLE. So I was pleasantly surprised that they sounded good.
In between acts they did a "best of" Stadium of Fire and they said they had "extra fire" this year.
Then the Jonas Brothers came out. I honestly had never heard one of their songs. They were entertaining. Their songs were very juvenile and even though they sounded good, I'd never buy one of their albums. I just don't see myself singing along to a song about the year 3000 and every thing's the same but we live under water and something about my great-great-great granddaughter. Not my kind of pop music. They did sound good live though.
The weather started to get a little crazy while the Jonas Brothers were singing and Tyson leaned over to me and said "If it's too windy they might not do the fireworks." Then we were hit by raindrops. :( Luckily the rain was fairly minimal and the wind calmed down. It was weird, and I don't know if they do this every year or if it was just because of the weather this year, but as the Jonas Brothers were running off the stage the fireworks started. After a few minutes of those they did another portion of the show.
The giant flag they had hanging from cranes earlier in the night was taken down and they had burned it. That sounds bad/weird, but I don't know how else to say it. It was old and had been through a lot and needed to be retired. So they had a bunch of military men and women carry the flag in and burn it. It was actually a very touching ceremony with a choir singing patriotic songs while it burned.
Then the fireworks started again!
Scarlett was acting pretty crazy throughout the concert but we knew we needed to save her bottle of Pediasure until the fireworks portion when she was more likely to be even crazier! She was a little scared of the fireworks and wanted me to hold her the whole time. She rested her head on my shoulder and watched them, but was hanging on very tight.
This was the only family shot of us we got the whole day, and it was on our way out of the stadium. We had a really fun time! I don't know if we'd go back every year, but I think we'd like to venture out every couple of years.
Here was Scarlett today in her patriotic dress. She sure was cute!
And here's Scarlett's first ever boo boo. She tripped yesterday and face planted into the cement. She has a fat lip and bruised nose. Poor baby girl.
Hope everyone had a fun and fabulous 4th of July!

Fantastic photos! Stadium of Fire looks like lots of fun! I'm glad the weather didn't ruin it. Scarlett's dress is DARLING!!! :)
Thanks for coming down Friday. It was fun to see you guys! Brian was wondering what Scarlett would think of the fireworks at Stadium of Fire, since she didn't seem to like the little ones on Friday.
